DATA INGESTION
“The Data Ingestion functionalities in i-Live Machines are based on a dedicated software subsystem that uses latest-generation technologies, removing constraints and limitations (cost and scalability) of technologies traditionally used for data collection in the industrial sector.”
“i-Live Machines’ industrial data ingestion capabilities are a product that is able to truly ensure the management of a potentially unlimited amount of data, ensuring security, reliability and scalability of IoT communication and cloud storage“.
Data Collection
- i-Live Machines allows “by design” for the collection of potentially unlimited quantities of data (typically classifiable as machine parameters and alarms) originating, in a totally asynchronous mode, from industrial machines installed anywhere;
- Monitored machines are typically connected to the i-Live Machines Cloud via MQTT protocol: to ensure communication security and the authenticity of the received data, SSL/TLS encrypted MQTT connections authenticated by security certificates are supported; the message content must be in JSON format;
- i-Live Machines also supports the HTTP protocol and can also receive data via custom-developed software modules in case of specific needs (the gateway component used for sending data from machines is not part of i-Live Machines).
Data organization
- i-Live Machines natively manages and processes raw data from machines, organizing the classification and master data of connected machines in a way that meets every possible classification choice made by manufacturers for their machines:
each physical machine is represented in i-Live Machines by a logical entity( Asset )which is an instance of a «machine type»( Asset Type )that may include multiple Manufacturer models; TheAsset Type is uniquely defined and characterized by a specific, fixed-time data mapping ( with its default set of display dashboards) and a set of predefined diagnostic rules that assign a specific «complexity» to the machine( Asset Complexity);
- i-Live Machines allows you to monitor, manage and organize the data of installed machines as line or plant parts. In this case, the machines can also be monitored simultaneously and simultaneously by the manufacturer as a «group»:
each individual Asset can be part of an Asset Group, that is to say a set of specific cardinalities of more than one Assett (of equal or different Assett Types).
Data historization
- In order to ensure adequate levels of continuity and reliability and a capacity for virtually unlimited growth, i-Live Machines stores the received data in a database formed by a cluster of servers, whose provider as infrastructure service makes available all its certificates and safety documents;
- The storage of collected data is typically guaranteed for two years but may be extended in case of special needs expressed by the manufacturer;
- i-Live Machines is operated by Holonix, in accordance with the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 (“GDPR”), with attention to respect and protection of the data of natural persons.
DATA ENRICHMENT
“ILVi-Live Machines’ Data Enrichment features allow you to always have everything you need as analysis capabilities, with no performance limits on the one hand and no unnecessary cost charges on the other”.
«In i-Live Machines, the maximum product scalability is achieved by implementing the combination of internal basic computational capabilities with those of an internal engine, of complex event processing (for the recognition of diagnostic events) and those of software modules integrated with existing APIs, also developed in custom project logic and also in partnership with other system developers”.
descriptive analysis
- The descriptive analysis features allow raw machine data retrieval and their visualization and interpretation based on simple and intuitive dashboards and graphic widgets;
- i-Live Machines offers data visualization tools that can be customized by the manufacturer according to its needs and the type of data collected by its machines, which allow:
- The real-time display of machine status;
- Displaying the state of the machine at a given historical moment by applying time filters;
- the display of received machine alarms, grouped by type or as a list.
diagnostic analysis
- The diagnostic analysis functionalities allow to define multiple types of diagnosis events, of varying complexity, on each type of machine with its level of alert;
- -i-Live Machines operates continuously applying predefined rules for each machine model to identify abnormal behaviour; they can take into account both incoming data in quasi-real-time and those stored in a historicized manner;
- -i-Live Machines send push notifications to the devices in use and email to registered addresses, according to user preferences, for all diagnostic events set.
predictive analytics
- Predictive analysis capabilities allow the prediction of abnormal conditions;
- Rules and predictive algorithms are defined case by case for each machine model based on the specific needs identified with the manufacturer. i-Live Machines also allows the integration or interfacing of external AI algorithms developed by the manufacturer itself or other third parties;
- In full scalability logic, the most appropriate prediction algorithms can be applied, from traditional regression algorithms applied to the latest trend data to sophisticated machine learning algorithms using historical and entire fleet data.
prescriptive analytics
- The prescriptive analysis capabilities of i-Live Machines allow the manufacturer to associate with diagnostic events related to malfunctions a series of indications in the form of actions suggested to be carried out against the triggered diagnostic event.
DATA FRUITION
“i-Live Machines’ Data Fruition functionalities have been implemented taking into account the specific needs of their user, the manufacturer of industrial machines, in particular small and medium-sized ones, such as their availability of skills”.
«i-Live Machines also meets a set of more specific requirements for this category of users, which are very difficult to meet with systems not designed from the outset for this purpose: must be able to map various types of machines and for each of them monitor a large number of machines, they must have adequate autonomy in the configuration of the system they use, they must be able to enable access to data also to third parties of their choice”.
data access
- -i-Live Machines allows access to data from any device via an internet connection and web browser;
- The i-Live Machines database is structured in such a way that access to data is only possible through the data display, export and interfacing features available within it;
- i-Live Machines allows to export all raw data collected by the machines in CVS, JSON data exchange formats;
- -i-Live Machines manages the geolocation data in two modes: manually, entering the position of the machine through the appropriate tab, or automatically, if the machine sends information about its GPS location.
Autonomy and personalisation
- -i-Live Machines is a Zero-Code software, which allows the manufacturer to use all its functions independently through a simple and intuitive graphical interface;
- The manufacturer, except for the onboarding phase of a new machine type, can independently connect new machines, configure data display dashboards, create and enable third parties to access machine data;
- The connection of a new machine by the manufacturer only presupposes that i-Live Machines have prepared the type of machine to which it belongs and that the new machine has been enabled for connection;
- i-Live Machines supports white labelling: the industrial machinery manufacturer can personalise the interface with its own colours and company logo.
data sharing
- i-Live Machines allows the manufacturer to:
- Selectively share machine data with its customers or other partners (third parties);
- to independently manage a third-party registry office to which it intends to give access to the monitoring system, leaving the manufacturer full control of the data shares, which can be granted and removed at any time. The data collected will therefore be visible to third parties only during the periods for which they were authorised;
- to attach documents to the machine registry, supporting different formats, and to be able to share them with third parties while maintaining control over access privileges.
- All manufacturer’s customers/partners (third parties), regardless of the role created and assigned, access the same functionality as i-Live Machines.
