On Thursday 12 June Holonix will take part in the event “The Machine Tool and Mechanics Convention” organized by Tecnologie Meccaniche, under the patronage of UCIMU – Sistemi per Produrre.
The Machine Tool and Mechanics Convention
In a symbolic location for the history of Italian industry, the event is a point of reference for companies in the manufacturing, metalworking and precision mechanics sectors, with the aim of taking stock of current technologies, analyzing the trends of industry 4.0 and promoting networking between professionals in the production world.
The convention is aimed at companies active in the production of machine tools, industrial automation, robotics, and mechanical components. An ideal opportunity for companies operating in the main application sectors: automotive, aerospace, agriculture, naval, railway, energy, medical and mold construction.
Holonix’s participation
With a speech dedicated to the “From Sensor to Data Space” approach, Holonix presents the concrete path that starts from data collection via IoT sensors installed on machinery, to arrive at advanced predictive monitoring, analytics and servitization solutions.
A technological and organizational journey that shows how data are not just “numbers”, but enablers of value for customers and producers.
IoT as a lever for efficiency and servitization
The model proposed by Holonix focuses on machine tool data as a lever for:
- Optimize maintenance and reduce plant downtime
- Offer advanced after-sales services
- Enabling new as-a-service business models
- Improving customer satisfaction across the value chain
Data Space: Interoperability and Trust in Data Sharing
A special focus will be dedicated to industrial data spaces, shared and secure digital environments that allow companies in the supply chain — from manufacturers to end customers — to collaborate and exchange data in compliance with clear rules, interoperability and digital sovereignty. A key element to build valuable ecosystems based on trust.
Why participate
The Machine Tool and Mechanics Convention represents a strategic event for those who want to understand the digital evolutions of the manufacturing sector. Holonix will bring its innovative vision, based on concrete projects and cutting-edge technologies, with the aim of showing how industrial IoT can generate real, measurable and scalable value.
Circular data sharing platform
An IoT platform can become a management tool for the circular production ecosystem. Data exchange within an ad hoc infrastructure allows user companies to generate secure, flexible and tracked information flows. This is where the platform developed within the project comes into play DeremCo (GA I3-101084037). DeremCo’s overall goal is to unlock the potential of composite materials and components as widely available and sustainable sources for new profitable, demand-driven manufacturing applications by developing a platform where data and information can be shared, increasing collaboration across the value chain.
